Guilty Conscious...and I Can't Sleep...

lol...I had fully intended to make my FIRST 2013 post on Jan 1....

2 days later here I am....

lol...better late than never huh???  Good thing I don't make 

New Year's resolutions...  more...GOALS...along with DREAMS...

and every day...is a new chance...to get it right.

So New Year's day was a nice relaxing day off work...

did some crafts....worked on my "Etsy" shop...which is JUST 

getting started (will post the link SOON!)...watched a lil 

football (U of M lost in the LAST few seconds :( ...) and yes...

RELAXED!!!

January....and I'm READY for THIS!!!.....

      
The 303MP out of Jackson....they're coming home SOON!!!

...and I have a very special friend to Welcome Home!!! 

Looking forward to seeing that smile again~

In the news....well...we diverted the 'fiscal cliff' in the 9th hour...

however...looks like due to increased social security taxes...

my paycheck will have less in it this year...
  

   

Oh Well....like so many others... I JUST KEEP TRYING!!!

Retirement...you know...that 'someday dream'...keeps moving 

farther down the road...

BUT...we can still dream!!!  :)

For now...I'll  just savor the 'moments' whenever I can grab

them!!!  

So...here we go 2013!!!  

2012....was a rough year for me....financially...emotionally...

health wise....  BUT...It's a new year....and I'm ready to see what 

the year will hold....

I hope 2013 holds an 'abundance of blessings'...for you...

and for me <3

I can't believe yet another year is coming to a close....   2012 is almost over....

what will the new year hold???   

The end of a year....the start of a new... always a good time to reflect...

count your blessings....make plans...set goals...DREAM....

ahhhh.... yes...goals...(I'm NOT so good at resolutions...lol but GOALS I can do! haha)

Yes...because there is always something in live to be grateful for...thankful for..

blessings abound if you JUST take the time to look around and appreciate!!!

Doesn't get any simpler than that does it???  Not ALWAYS easy to do... we tend to stress ourselves out

with worry....instead of enjoying our life....we constantly try to please others...while it's GOOD to 

have plans....goals....dreams....we need to make the most of EACH day as it comes along.  

Yes...There is ALWAYS something to be Grateful for!!! 

So What WILL the Next Year Hold???

Regardless of plans....goals...dreams.....

Don't get sooooooo caught up that you for get 

the 'simple' joys of each day...

That's a list I LOVE!!!!  

I found this idea the other day....and I'm most definitely going to do this one!!!

What a great way to not only reflect now and then & write down

something 'good' that made your day...

and then at the end of the year...

reflect...remember...and SMILE!!!

 While 2012 comes to a close....Take some time

to reflect...to dream...

most of all to be grateful...

for the wonderful joys of life...

LIFE IS GOOD

Hello!!!

Ever have those MELT DOWN kind of days???  When...even though you KNOW you have so much 

to be grateful and thankful for...you just go and MELT DOWN???  Faith...Hope...Love....Family & 

Friends.... yet...there you go.... lol....  I do... every now and then...like this last weekend...

What picks you back up???  A good cry?  A verse or prayer?  A good night's sleep??  Music??

A shoulder to cry on??  A special friend who understands....even when you yourself DON'T??

 For me... I guess it's sorta ... all of the above!!!  ;)  Thank goodness for loving friends...and FAITH 

to pull you through...and REMIND you in the end...LIFE IS GOOD!!!

BOY CAN I BE GUILTY OF THIS!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Why is it that when we NEED a friend...we instead try to deal with things on our own???

Thank goodness...that FRIENDS are THERE for us!!  Maybe it's just an email, or a call...

someone to say..."HEY, You'll get through this...It's Okay"   Maybe it's that time alone, when you 

realize...You're Never ALONE...You have a Friend and Saviour who will NEVER let you down!!!

What....someone said it was going to be  easy???  ALL THE TIME?????  No.... no one said that!!!

Yet...sometimes...that's what we think.  It should be EASY..  Sometimes...there are just those days...

when nothing seems to go right... when you 'forget'...how truly BLESSED you are...  Maybe that's 

what those melt down days are all about.... some time to 'take you down' and REMIND you just how

much you have to be Grateful for ;)

So...what to do???? CHANGE YOUR FOCUS!!!  Instead of focusing on your sorrow, your pain, your 

heartache...FOCUS ON BEING A BLESSING!!!  Guess what...your whole outlook CHANGES!!!

The POSITIVE comes back into focus...the NEGATIVE drifts away...and you become ENERGIZED 

once again.  

How true is that!!!  Be STRONG!!! Stay STRONG!!!  Doesn't mean...that once in a while you 

aren't going to have a less than perfect day!!  But you don't give up!  

Whatever you may be going through...work your way through it.  Pray...even when you cannot find 

the words to say...your heart will cry out...and God will hear your prayers.  It's just that simple!

Does that mean you'll have the answers???  the answer you want???  Not necessarily!   However...

you WILL find comfort...a peace...that assurance that you are not alone...and that everything will 

be all right.  <3  

One thing for sure...I'm grateful for those friends who have come into my life...some have moved on.

Some...have stayed...but ALL have shaped my life in some way.  Those TRUE Friends.... who 

are there for you...who make you smile...who understand and don't pass judgement...you know the

ones who GIVE and allow YOU to GIVE BACK...  Well...they are Flowers in the Garden of Life!!!

And I gotta say..... I LOVE MY FRIENDS!!!  

Well...enough of my ramblings for today  :)  Time to hit the shower and get on my way to work.

~FALL IS IN THE AIR~

Don't you just LOVE the Fall Season???  I sure do!!! Especially here in Michigan...where the air turns

a little cooler and has that 'crispness' to it.  The smell of bonfires...the sounds of football games in the 

distance...the colors of the leaves changing...and crunching under foot as you walk along a pathway...

 PUMPKINS & APPLE CIDER.... Fall is a special time of year. 

APPLES FROM THE ORCHARD!

 The past couple weekends have been spent raking leaves...

transplanting flowers around the deck,  planting tulips to bloom in the spring,

and planting chrysanthemums to add to the fall color splendor around the porch.

Now to relax...and enjoy...the beautiful COLORS of Fall!!!

 

Springtime...renews us....Fall....invigorates us....Beauty is all around us...

It's time for Hot Apple Cider... Pumpkin Pie.... and Football!!!

Well.... It's been a while since I've been here!!!  Time to update...

February found me with family friends at a 'send off' Military Ball...

We had a great dinner....great music...lots of laughs...and enjoyed celebrating with about 150 

members of the MP Unit and their families and loved ones...before this group headed off to Texas for 

 training....then on to Afghanistan...

...Good Memories and a fun night with the 303RD MP in Jackson...

A few short weeks later...

We said 'so long till we meet again' on a cold winter morning at the unit...

How my good friend is doing over there in Afghanistan...

waiting for an "I'm OK" post on FB...

an Email...

an occasional call or text...

Wondering if the care packages sent are getting there...

Praying for his safety...for strength...for his 'Team'...

Always grateful for their service...and sacrifices they make for the rest of us back home!!!

I know...Its' all ready February...and here I am..

Like it's New Year's Day...lol...  oh well...

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER...RIGHT????  

 So many CHANGES All Ready this year!!! 

WOW...wasn't ready for all that!!! 

But here I am today...FINALLY...ready to Go with the Flow 

and see what tomorrow holds!!!

 JUST EXACTLY

 HOW IT HAS FELT 

THESE PAST FEW WEEKS!!!

But..."It's ALL GOOD!!!"

Somehow...If you wake up each morning...

or at the end of each day...

reflect back...

and find that SOMETHING

to make you SMILE...

that SOMETHING

to give THANKS for...

If you UNDERSTAND that

EACH NEW DAY

IS ANOTHER CHANCE...

It ALL becomes...

Okay ;)

Hope...It does keep us heading always in the 

right direction doesn't it!!!

No matter what our circumstances in life...

if we hold on to HOPE...

we hold on to LIFE!!!

LOVE gives us HOPE!!!

We find Love with in ourselves...

In our Faith in God...

In Life...

Our Friends & Family...

Even in the Beautiful Simplicity of a Flower....

Live in the present...YES!!!
